Golden Warrior Scholar
The seniors
with the top cumulative GPA’s were honored all year as golden warrior
candidates. Our top senior, the Valedictorian of the Class of 2016, is our
Golden Warrior Scholar. With a cumulative GPA of 4.38,
Alexandra Johnson.
Citizenship
The
Golden Warrior Citizenship award goes to the senior who has demonstrated
extraordinary good character on campus and off, gives freely of their time, and
is known to all for their demeanor, good nature, and service heart. They
participate in school events and activities and are ingrained in the campus
community in one way or other, modeling the Warrior Way and showing the
community at large what we hope all of our students to strive for.
This year, our Golden Warrior
Citizenship award goes to a senior who has been a leader in every program she
is a part of. She conducts the pep band at football games, and has been our
award winning drum major for two years. She is a link crew commissioner, part
of interact, a volleyball captain, a leader in Madrigals, and took the lead
role of Mary Poppins for the Spring musical. She has been involved on campus since
her freshman year, and has excelled in academics, arts, music and athletics. She
is the President of Renaissance Leadership and has contributed countless hours
to making YVHS a better place. Next year, she will be headed off to BYU Utah to
study Chemistry-
Claire Rader.
Leadership
The
Golden Warrior Leadership award goes to the senior who rises to the occasion at
school and off campus in the community, taking charge where necessary, and
living and behaving in a way that others want to follow them. The Leadership
award is for those students who are not only integrated in the campus community
for their involvement, but are seen as natural leaders in their pursuits and
among their peer groups.
This year, our Golden Warrior
Leadership award goes to a senior who serves as a leader on and off the field,
as your Senior Class Vice President and the captain of the football and
baseball teams. He leads with integrity and he leads by example, and is
dedicated, loyal to the YV community, and gives freely of his time. He has
stepped up time after time in the face of adversity and is a guy who knows the
way, goes the way and shows the way each day. Next year he is headed off to Cal
Poly SLO to study Business-

GOLDEN WARRIOR
This
award goes to the senior who exemplifies all of the traits we honor in our
Warriors, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership. They are involved in the
school community, and for the community at large they are proud to be a
Warrior. They help others and serve as examples to underclassmen, they work
hard for success academically, and they overcome adversity with grace and
perseverance.
This year, our Golden Warrior is
someone who has been serving the community and the campus since her freshman
year. She is universally well-liked by her peers, teachers, and staff. She
leads with grace, integrity and fairness, and she strives and excels in
academics, athletics and character. She is the captain of the soccer and
lacrosse teams, the President of HOSA, a sports medicine and John Muir
volunteer intern, a youth leader for her church, and a truly golden Warrior.
Next year she will be attending Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado to study
